Our son and his girlfriend cooked for us...so much yummy food!

 It was so good to meet her, and to spend a bit of time with them.  

He Had A List!

When we visited our grandchildren this week, our grandson 

had a list of things he wanted us to do together! Heart-melt!!!

One of those things was to play "Army" with Pepaw. He spent 

about an hour making decisions about who and what to include 

in the impending battle and meticulously positioning them before 

drafting Pepaw to engage in war. If I could only have recorded their

dialogue...!!! After another hour of strategy and imagination, I think

Pepaw finally bribed him to surrender with the promise of ice cream :-) 

The Intrigue Of Gardening

Every year the landscape changes a bit without my help. 

Some things die, some grow and multiply, and some are scattered to new spots.

Some plants look beautiful with no help from me, while others create a massive mess! 

Nevertheless, there are so many things to see and find...and this keeps me intrigued.

 

Pennywort

It's grown here for 15 years, and I never knew what it was...

It's mostly ignored, and this is the only place it grows on our property! 

It's evidently a beneficial herb! So many plants right under our feet 

that we don't understand and aren't getting the benefit of! 

I'm trying to learn...trying to figure it out. 

 

I Wonder

A New Hat

My hubby got a new hat for yard work... 

I almost didn't recognize him! But I like it!!!

I Waited And Waited....

For weeks now I watched these lovelies as the buds grew...

waiting and waiting till finally they burst open 

to reveal their bold colorful blooms!
